86, of Munster, IN, formerly of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2017, at the Community Hospital in Munster.  Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Francis Kunkel of Munster, daughters Karen (Dane) Young, Mary (Mikeal) Mahurin, and grandson Logan Young.  Pauline was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary, her sister Rose, her brothers Mike and Frank and several brothers-in-law.

A devout Catholic, Pauline was a longtime member of St. Thomas More Church in Munster.  Her Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN 46321 on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Jordan C. Fetcko officiating.  At rest Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville, IN. Visitation will take place at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, IN on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.

Pauline was a generously devoted wife, mother and grandmother who embraced her feisty spirit throughout her life.  An avid golfer and card player, Pauline thrived on healthy competition and always held her Polish traditions close to her heart.
