Alice B. Holcomb nee Schenk

Age 93, 0f Highland, passed away Sunday July 2, 2017. Alice is survived by her loving husband of 73 years Kenneth; son Stephen Holcomb; grandson Michael (Candy) Fisher; greatgrandchildren: Abigail, Zachary and Madison Fisher; brother-in-law Edward (late Charlene) Trow; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Fisher, great grandchildren Faith and Rebecca Fisher, sister in law Lucille (Roy) Hess and four siblings.

Alice was born and raised in Wisconsin and after marrying Ken in 1943, they decided to settle in Northwest Indiana in 1949. Alice loved to crochet, handcrafting afghans for the family and countless babysets for the church. An avid gardener, Alice enjoyed tending to her garden at home. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville, IN. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 5:00 PM with Pastor Marie Siroky officiating. Cremation at Solan Pruzin to follow.
