ALLEN R. GRABE "BIG AL"

age 61, of Hammond, formerly of Chicago, passed away Monday January 6, 2014. Allen is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Mariann; children Yvonne (Jonathan) Liddell and Erin Grabe; brother Dan (Carey) Grabe; special nephew Danny Grabe; sisters in law Marjorie (late Anthony) Rogers and Janet (late Thomas) Nohos; brother in law Russell (Linda) Kenwood; many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Hilda; his aunts and uncles.

Allen was an avid fisherman and especially loved to fish at Camp Lacupolis on Lake Pepin in Minnesota. He was proud of his loving family and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Friday January 10, 2014 at 7:30 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 7109 Calumet Ave Hammond with Fr. Richard Orlinski officiating. Cremation at Solan Pruzin Crematory to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Allen's honor may be made to The Fishing Kids program at www.castforkids.org.
