Ana C. Ruiz

Age 45, of Munster, Indiana, formerly of South Holland, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Ana was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband of 21 years, Gabriel Ruiz; her 2 precious daughters, Gabriela “Gaby” and Jisele, who were truly her life. She also leaves behind her loving parents, Elbia and Armando Sanchez; siblings, Fina (Hector) Vasquez, Elisa (Delfino) Unzueta and Armando (Mena) Sanchez Jr; mother in-law, Marina Ruiz; along with several cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ana was a proud graduate of Thornridge High School and attended South Suburban College. She worked for over 20 years exemplifying great commitment and work ethic that carried out through all aspects of her life.

Ana had a nurturing spirit, a heart full of love, and a beautiful, contagious laugh. Her life was one of selfless dedication to her family, and her daughters were her greatest joy.

A Visitation with family and dear friends will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Ana’s Life will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026 directly at All Souls Catholic Church, 3010 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL 60438 at 11:00 AM. There will be a visitation held at the church Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until time of Mass. Burial will be private.
