Andre Joseph Gonzalez

Age 59, of Hammond, IN passed away on Saturday November 2nd.

Andre is survived by his loving wife Kim (nee Pinkowski) son Benjamin (Megan) Gonzalez and daughter Christine Marie along with 4 grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Teresa (Gordon) Beatty, Debbie (Dan) Stocker, Laura (David) Ramos, Linda Gonzalez-Chapman and brother Johnny Gonzalez. His Uncles Tano Garcia and Joe Gonzalez along with many more Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his son Andre Joseph Gonzalez Jr., his parents John and Ramona (nee Ochoa) Gonzalez, his Lita (grandmother) Concepcion Gonzalez and his Aunt Helen (nee Gonzalez) Garcia.

Andre was a proud Air Force Veteran where he was a Civil Engineering Control Systems Specialist. He was an avid fisherman and Cubs Fan who loved yelling at the tv during every game. He especially loved being "Papa" to his granddaughter Braylie who he adored and spent so much time with. She is the one that kept him going. He also loved his loyal companion dogs Max and Paulie. If Max wasn't in bed with him, he was by his bedside till the end. "Love you long time" my love...I can't wait to be with you again.

A gathering of friends will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM., Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home, 7109 Calumet Ave, Hammond, IN. A 6:00 PM Memorial Service will be held Friday with Father Stanley Dominik officiating. In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated.
