Andrew Juskiw, age 73, of Hammond, IN, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Alexandra Duda-Juskiw; sisters, Alexandria (late James) Garrity, Cynthia (Tom) Staehle and Kathy (William) Sheehan; brother, Steve (Jean) Juskiw; godson, Mark Staehle; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, John and Maria Juskiw; aunt and uncle Catherine and John Jusko; and brother-in-law James Garrity.

Andrew grew up in Hammond and graduated from Hammond High in 1969.  He worked at the Lake County Sheriff's office and served as a bailiff in the Lake County Superior Court.  Family and friends were very important to Andy, who enjoyed holidays and backyard cookouts.  Andy loved to cook and was known for baking his delicious Easter Paska bread. Andy embraced and was very proud of his Ukrainian Heritage.  He was an avid photographer and enjoyed gardening.  Andy will be deeply missed.

A Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN, with a Panahida at 6:30 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, DIRECTLY at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, 8624 White Oak Ave, Munster, IN 46321. Andrew will lie in state at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. Burial to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Hammond, IN.
