Ann Elizabeth Resetar (nee Stahura)

age 90, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11 , 2018, in Highland, IN, at the home of her daughter and son-in law, Claudia and Mark Varichak.  She was born July 8, 1927, in McAdoo, PA, to John and Anna (Samek) Stahura.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, daughter, Jane, and all of her siblings: Mary Liska, Veronica Cusatis, John, George, Joseph (a.k.a. Max), Paul, Margaret Ramsey, Thomas, John J., and Richard Leonard.  She is survived by children Alan (Donna) Resetar, Claudia (Mark) Varichak, Elizabeth (Michael) Kelly, Peter Resetar, and grandchildren Ryan, John and Margret Kelly, sister-in-law Delores Stahura, and many nieces and nephews.

Ann lived with her family on Beech Avenue in Hammond, where she raised her children and was active in the Rosary Society of St. John Bosco Catholic Church.  She enjoyed babysitting for her grandchildren, visiting with her family, and taking long walks on the bike trail near her home.  She will be missed by family and friends, who will cherish their memories of her.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 Directly at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 7113 Columbia Ave., Hammond, IN.  46324 with Rev. Richard Orlinski officiating.  Ann will lie in state at the church from 9:00 AM until time of service.  She will be laid to rest directly after service at St. John Cemetery in Hammond, IN.  Condolences may be made at solanpruzinfuneralhome.com.
