Anne Delores Taylor (nee Shaffer)

Age 98, of Hammond, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018. Anne is survived by her daughters: Kathleen (Donald) Clark, Milly (late Juan) Rodriguez and Bessie (late Sam) Keeton; son Denzel K. Taylor; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; many Nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters and husband Denzel and granddaughter Angela.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Solan Pruzin funeral home 7109 Calumet Avenue, Hammond with Fr Stanley Dominik officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Anne will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery, Hammond.

Anne was a lifelong resident of the Calumet region. She was an avid reader and loved to crochet. She was a kind, loving spirit with a generous nature. A longtime member of St. John Bosco parish, Anne was also a member of the Rosary Society, and sang in the choir at St. Joseph church in downtown Hammond. Anne will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her.
