Annette Ferrara
Age 68, of Dyer, formerly of Dolton, IL, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Annette is survived by her siblings: Salvatore (Dorothy) Ferrara, RoseAnn (Red) Hayes, Philip (Sony) Ferrara; many precious nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and dear cousins. Also surviving Annette are her lifelong friends, Beverly Heinrich and Mary Henrich. Preceded in death by her parents, Pasquale and Katherine Ferrara; and two brothers, Joseph (late Carol) Ferrara and Jasper (late Donna) Ferrara.
Annette grew up in Dolton, IL and was a 1975 graduate of Thornton Township High School. She earned her associate's degree from Thornton Community College in 1979. She continued her education at Governors State University, where she received her bachelor's degree.
Annette's professional life was defined by her service in healthcare. She worked with devotion at St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond and later at DaVita Dialysis Center, where her kindness and professionalism touched countless lives. Her fellow nursing colleagues who also became her friends, will remember her as a beacon of empathy and strength.
Beyond her career, Annette's true passion was travel. With an adventurous heart, she explored all 50 states. Her wanderlust took her to over 20 countries, where she immersed herself in new cultures. Annette found joy in every corner of the world.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., with a memorial service to follow at 10:00 a.m., directly at St. George Church, 6700 West 176th st., Tinley Park, Illinois.
