Annette S. Steinberg (nee Liberman)

Age 89, of Munster, IN passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2024.  Annette is survived by her two beloved children, Lynda (Nathan) Gurevitz, Brian (Rosemary) Steinberg; precious grandchildren, Rachel (Brandon Whittaker) Gurevitz, Shelley Gurevitz, Kendra Steinberg; great-grandchildren, Kai and Max Whittaker. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Sheldon and her sister Phyllis (late, Herbert) Rubin.

Annette graduated from Horace Mann in Gary, Indiana. She went on to then receive her bachelor's degree from Indiana University, and her master's from IU Northwest. Annette had a passion for teaching and was a Gary school teacher for 37 years. She was a past president of the Sisterhood at Temple Bethel and loved to sing in the temple choir.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave. Schererville, IN with Rabbi Leonard Zukrow officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 AM until time of service. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, IN.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mille Greenwald Fund Sisterhood of Temple Beit Shalom or Hospice of the Calumet Area.
