Obituary

Anthony Richard Narducy Jr “Tony”

Age 36, of Hammond, Indiana, was called suddenly called home by the Lord.

Tony was a man whose presence could light up any room. Known for his contagious laugh and larger-than-life personality, he leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and unforgettable memories. Growing up in Chicago was defining part of whom Tony was. The city shaped his grit, his pride, and his deep love for family and community.

Tony is survived by a large and beautiful family who will forever cherish his memory. Those family members are, his loving sons, Anthony, Dominic, and Michael; sisters MaryCathryn Narducy and Christina (Jasper) Vaccaro; nieces and nephews, Gary, MaryElizabeth, Lorelai, Lilyanna, and Jasper Jo; Aunt Tina (Tony) Crum; Uncle Joseph Narducy, Uncle James Craig, Aunt Annette Meyrose, Uncle Edward Paczkowski, Uncle Joseph Paczkowski; and his many cousins, Tyonna, Jennifer, Jill, Stephen, Nicole, Joseph, Artie, Aaron, Crystal, Greg, Michele, Amber, Heather, Gina, Jacob, Jamie, Jonathan, Amy, and Jessica, along with many more cousins and friends who loved him dearly. He is also survived by Ashley Hager, the devoted mother of his children, who shared in raising and loving them.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, George Narducy and Mary George, Geraldine James and Edward Paczkowski; mother, Pamela Gursky; father, Anthony Narducy Sr., step-mother, Sandra Streed, precious daughter, Sabrina Narducy; Aunt Theresa Soltys and Aunt Barbara Lucynlak; and cousins, Jaxson Narducy and Joey Paczkowski.

A proud and devoted father, Tony loved being a dad and carried that role with pride. He was a self-proclaimed workaholic who took pride in providing and staying busy. When he wasn’t working, you could find him doing what he loved most-turning wrenches on his Mopars, casting a line while fishing, or simply being with family and friends.

Tony was a true sports fan through and through. He proudly cheered on the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox, never missing a chance to represent his teams. Music was another passion of his, rap or country, which matched his unique spirit-a little bit country, a little bit edge, and all heart.

An animal lover at heart, Tony had a soft spot for his pets and any four-legged friend he met. Above all else, he loved his family fiercely. His loyalty, humor, and a big heart will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who were blessed to know him.

Tony’s life reminds us to love hard, laugh often, and hold tight to the people who matter most.
