April McCabe (Nee Quattropani)

age 53, of Hammond, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at her residence after a 2 ½ year battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer. April is survived by the love of her life for 26 years Kevin McCabe; nephew Jason (Chelsea) Carey; great nephews James and Chase; great niece Lorelie Carey; in-laws, Francis and Ramah McCabe; sister-in-law Debbie (Richard) Austin; nieces: Sarah Austin, Elizabeth (Ted) Hanak; long-time family friends Greg Ward and Kathy Vargo; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and her canine children: Buddy, Abby and Sadie. April was followed in death by her mother Patricia Quattropani on January 20, 2018 and preceded in death by her father Nick Quattropani and her sister Kim Carey.

April retired from her job at Cabela's due to her illness. She was an extremely active woman who loved to play with her dogs and enjoyed fishing, camping and trips to Crystal River Florida. With a heart full of love and a generous spirit, April was always there for family and friends with helping hands.

A Celebration of her Life and spirit will take place on Saturday April 28, 2018, TIME PENDING, at the Woodmar United Methodist Church  7320 Northcote Ave. Hammond, IN .
