Obituary

Arnette Christine Bosch (nee Smith) age 70, of Merrillville, IN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2022 after achieving their long-planned desire to retire to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Michael Bosch; her son Lee (Donna Betsanes) Morris; her sister Jolene (Joe Gasiorek) Smith; nephew Steven (Jen) Kuchar and their children; brother-in-law, Andrew Webb, and her many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Barron Smith; and her sister Dr. Nadine Barrie Smith.

During high school in 1967, Arnette traveled to Europe as a member of "Up With People." Up with People stages song and dance performances promoting themes such as multiculturalism, racial equality, and positive thinking. These are values she embraced throughout her life.

She was the paralegal/office manager of her husband, Attorney Michael Bosch's office, and was Mike's right-hand woman running his law office daily. Arnette was so dedicated, friendly, hardworking, and meticulously put together - (she loved her shoes, jewelry, and clothes!)

Arnette was a loving, engaged person whose presence enlivened any gathering of friends or family where she was present. She was sharp-witted and compassionate, did not suffer fools gladly, and was utterly dedicated to those whom she loved. She felt that all her experiences throughout life culminated in getting it right with Mike; they were so in love. She stood by her friends through good times and bad and gave her help whenever it was needed. She had many decades-long friendships and relationships, and we will all remember her with intense affection, and also admiration for the way in which she dealt with the medical challenges in her last years.

Arnette was admired and loved by so many and will be remembered as an amazing, beautiful soul who cared so deeply for others.
