ARTHUR G. FULTE JR.

age 92, of Hammond, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016. Arthur is survived by his daughter Karen Fulte; brother Marion "Red" (Dolores) Fulte; nieces Janet (Ralph) Fulte-Papesh and Carrie (Tom) Fulte-Meyer; great niece Morgan Papesh great nephew Sam Meyer; close friend and military buddy Del Soloman; many cousins. Preceded in death by his wife of over 58 years Lorraine and his parents Luella and Arthur.

Arthur proudly served his country in during WWII in the U.S. Army 511th Parachute Infantry 11th Airborne Division in the Pacific Theater Philippines. After returning home Arthur was employed first as a Boilermaker and later as a Powerhouse Operator at Standard Oil/Amoco retiring with over 30 years of service. During retirement Arthur went to work with his brother at Calumet Electric and later for Sweeney Electric. Arthur was a member of American Legion Marrs-Meyer Post 991 in Worth and VFW Rhine Post 2729 in Chicago.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville, IN. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 7:00 PM with services officiated by Dc. Raymond Helfen and Minister David Barker. In lieu of flowers a contribution to your favorite charity would appreciated.
