Barbara A. Ayres "Mama B"

age 62, of Crown Point, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 19 years Norman; children: Kara Michalec, Brad (Teresa) Michalec, Kristin (Jeramie) Kelley, Dana Michalec & Lindsay (Brad) Nitz; step-daughter Trish (late Brian) Rose; grandchildren: Cheyanne, Morgan, Brian, Ryan, Cayden, Mikey, Madisyn, Brayden, Isabella & Joslyn; brother-in-law Jerry (Michelle) Ayres; furry babies Zoey & Bentley. Preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Marion Phillips, sisters Peggy & Diane, grandson Grayson, mother and father-in-law Norman J. and Shirley L. Ayres.

Barbara loved to cook and feed her family. Her double baked mostaccioli was a family favorite. She enjoyed crochet and especially liked to make Afghans. Barbara was employed as a liquidator which allowed her the freedom to travel for work, something she greatly enjoyed. She was a wine enthusiast and liked bald eagles.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, September 4, 2016 from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville, IN. Prayers and memories will be shared at 2:00 PM.
