Barbara A. Sanchez (nee Krydynski)

Age 59, of Hammond, IN, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 5, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Sergio Sanchez; children: Sergio (Julia) Sanchez, Dale (Christina) Sanchez, Gerrick (Vivian) Sanchez; mother, Hilda Krydynski; daughter-in-law, Pam (Justin) Rechter; precious grandchildren: Sergio, Brody, Sammy, Andrew, Kai, Audrey, and Cade; sisters: Linda (Orlando) Cabrera and Tina Gutierrez; canine companion, Naya; and grand-dogs: Carnage, Whiskey, and Rome. Preceded in death by her father, Erwin Krydinski.

Barbara was an extraordinary cook, known for creating meals that brought people together. She had a deep love for country music and could often be found singing her heart out during karaoke nights. She also had a love for camping, which reflected her adventurous spirit and appreciation for the outdoors.

Barbara had a green thumb and her garden always bloomed with vibrant flowers and fresh vegetables. She was an exceptional homemaker who transformed her house into a home filled with warmth, comfort, and seasonal decorations that would make any holiday feel magical.

Barbara's talent for her own hair and makeup was unmatched – she always dressed to impress and inspired those around her with her impeccable sense of style.

Above all else, Barbara's family was the light of her life and she cherished every moment with her grandbabies.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. A Service Celebrating Barbara's Life will be held at 4:00 PM with Fr. Gregory Bim-Merle officiating. An additional service will be held at 7:00 PM. Services conclude at the funeral home.
