Barbara A. Willis (nee Lanfear)

Age 83, of Demotte, formerly of Griffith, IN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. She is survived by her loving children: Debra (PerryParker) DeRolf, Jeannette (Terry) Jennings, and Jon (Merri Hathaway) Willis; precious grandchildren: Stacey (Chris) Hammond, Anthony (Rebecca) Scalzitti, Dominic (Brittany) Scalzitti, Robert (Kolleen), Jonathon (Summer), Nicole, Morgan, and Peyton; 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded by her beloved husband, John; daughter, Cynthia (still living, Lawrence) Scalzitti; parents, William and Alice Lanfear; and brother, Bill and sister, Mary.

Barbara retired from Walmart in Schererville and was involved in many organizations. She was a member of the Chopin Choir for over 25 years and Legion Auxiliary #66.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN. Burial will be held at Calumet Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dementia Society of America at dementiasociety.org
