Bob J. Silaj

Age 54, of Munster, Indiana passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016.  He is survived by his loving children, Katie Silaj and Matt Silaj; mother of his children, Susan Silaj; sisters, Kathy Leibowitz (Curtis), Eileen Claybough (Jim), and Lynda Gawel; his nephew and "brother", Joe Martin; his goddaughter, Bonny Stokes; godson, Frankie Gawel; beloved nieces and nephews, Margaret, Jacob, Samantha, Ricky, Tommy, Bobby, Michael; and great nephew, Anthony; devoted canine companion, Hank, and grand-dog, Cash.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Silaj, and brother, Patrick Silaj.

A memorial service will be held December 27 ^th , 2016 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN 4637 (corner of Main and Kennedy). Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. with Bob's celebration of life ceremony starting at 7.

Bob served in the United States Air Force for 8 years. He worked for 19 years at Winston & Strawn LLP as enterprise architect of technology. He was a lover of good music, food, and people. He was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan, and spent most of his time laughing with all of the people he loved. He will be remembered as the life of the party and for having the most generous spirit.
