Bonnie was born in Hammond, IN on June 8, 1939.
Bonnie had a zest for living with many hobbies and activities throughout her life, never without husband Carl at her side and a laugh on her lips. She loved to travel and always planned summer vacations, especially out West, packed with tourist attractions as well as historical and memorable experiences. She loved all-things nature and knew how to make camping feel like home wherever we went, including her well-known home cooking. She also enjoyed planning nearby excursions like regular visits to Shipshewana and Turkey Run State Park, especially the annual Covered Bridge Festival. Her hobbies and interests were many and varied. She loved gardening in her yard, garden walks, house walks, concerts, plays and dances. She had a true heart for Native Americans and their history. She was very knowledgeable about antiques and appreciated her collection. She had a special talent for decorating and many enjoyed the cozy showroom she made of her home. No family event went without her loving effort to make it special. She had a heart for hospitality and entertaining and loved planning gatherings for both family and clubs. She took great joy in her involvement in her many clubs and the friendships that came out of them, as the Red Hat Society, the Christian Women's Club, and Senior Saints at Southside Christian Church. Bonnie spent early years working as a dispatcher for the Dyer Police Department, babysat children in her home, then built a thriving wedding decorating business. Out of all the many adventures in her life, one of her favorites was a bonfire in her own backyard with her loved ones. Now she's enjoying a reunion with her many loved ones in Heaven.
