Bonnie S. Kennedy (nee White)

Age 78, of Griffith, IN, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 17, 2025.  Bonnie is survived by her dear daughter, Patricia (late Robert) Ray; precious grandchildren, Michael (Sabrina) Ray and Kaitlin Ray; great-grandchildren, Dillon, Owen and Mason; brother, Brian (Carol) White; nephew; Derek (Bethany) White; niece, Megan (fiancée Ryan Rollins) McCammon; and numerous great nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, William "Bill" M. Kennedy Jr. ; dear daughter, Michelle Kennedy; and parents, Lloyd and Betty White.

Bonnie was originally from Ohio and graduated from Union Local High School. She dedicated much of her life to the care and love of her beloved daughter, a role she embraced with unwavering strength and compassion. She worked for years in companion care and home health, where her empathy and dedication brought comfort to countless individuals and families.  She had a zest for life and found happiness in simple pleasures, like shopping and mornings at the casino. Bonnie will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will forever cherish her generosity and kindness.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
