Burnell Deshun Williams III ,affectionately known as Boo, passed away at the age of 54, in Hammond, IN on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

Burnell was born on January 29, 1967.  He was a lifelong student who valued education and went on to obtain several degrees and certifications in the fields of health and social work. Burnell loved his family, served in the military and belonged to the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Burnell also believed in the resurrection and spent his life studying.

He is survived by his loving parents Burnell and Nellie Williams (Hammond, IN), his precious children, Burnell Williams IV (Hammond, IN),  Jasmin (Al) Chambers (Dolton, IL),  and Deshunna Williams (Griffith, IN), 2 step children Tiffany and Michael, 2 Brothers Dr. Ricardo (Stacey) Williams (Matteson, IL) and Receo Williams (Hammond, IN) grandchildren, Tiaira Witcher, Journei Coleman, Jahmari Chambers, JaMya Chambers, and Makia Roberts; nieces Akeelah Williams and Christina Curtis; nephews, Ishmael Williams, Receo Gibson and Desmond Carter; great nephew, Torah Gibson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, special friends and mentors too many to list.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 7109 Calumet Ave., Hammond, IN, 46324.
