Carla M. Matus

age 79 of Schererville formerly of Hammond passed away Thursday February 18, 2016 surrounded by her family, she is survived by her 2 loving children: Ed(Lyn)Matus, and Leilani(Don)Forbes, 3 adoring grandchildren: Jessica, Kelly, Eric, niece Toni(Rick)Foote, good friend Judy Forester, preceded in death by her husband Edward L. Matus, sister: Nancy, Niece: Cindy.

A memorial service will be held Saturday February 27, 2016 1:30PM at the SOLAN PRUZIN FUNERAL HOME 14 Kennedy Ave. Schererville, IN (Corner Main & Kennedy) with Fr. Richard Orlinski officiating, at rest private. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday Feb. 27, 2016 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home.

Carla was an avid golfer, part time realtor and loved to travel. She was a longtime employee for Home Nursing Services and Town Center, where she made many good friends. She was also very proud to have been administrative assistant/secretary for the Mayor of Hammond and dept. of planning & development.
