CAROL A. RYFA

age 81, of Highland, passed away Tuesday February 9, 2016 she is survived by her children: Janet (Ronald) Fisch, John (Gigi) Ryfa, Jeffrey Ryfa; grandchildren: James Fliris, Ronald "Scooter" Fisch and Maureen "Reenie" Fisch; great granddaughter: Mikayla; brothers: Robert (Eleanor) Matusz and Richard Matusz; nieces and nephews; sister in law Ruth (late Leonard) Ryfa; dog Chelsea. Preceded in death by her husband Anthony Ryfa, son James Ryfa and brother Eugene Matus.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:30 AM DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Grace Church 3025 Highway Ave. Highland with Fr. Edward Moszur officiating. Carol will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until time of mass. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave. Schererville Wake Service 3:00 PM.

Carol was a graduate of East Chicago Washington class of '52 and retired from J&L Steel Co. with 15 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Parish and member of the Altar and Rosary Crafters. Carol enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader of mystery and thriller novels.
