Catherine "Cathy" J. Osborne, age 53, of Griffith, IN, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022. She is survived by her brother Jon Osborne and her dogs Phoebe and Bubba.

Cathy dedicated herself to helping people and animals. She worked as a therapist and social worker, incorporating both dogs and art into her practice in Griffith. In addition to extensive volunteer work in dog rescue, including at Humane Indiana, Cathy ran Black Dogs for Good, advocating for black dogs and well as disadvantaged, neglected, and special needs dogs.

Cathy graduated from Griffith High School, earned a Bachelor's degree from Ball State University, and a Master's degree in Social Work from Indiana University. She studied Expressive Arts Therapy with multiple programs.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN 46375.
