Charlene Collins

Age 82, of Hammond, Indiana, was called home by the Lord on Monday, November 24, 2025. She is survived by her loving children, Stephanie N. Collins, Kenneth (late, Andrea) B. Collins; precious grandchildren, Bryon N. Collins, Stephen Charles Collins, and Elisha Jon Michael Collins; her sisters, Maxine (late, Milton) Reed and Cora (Franklin) Breckenridge. Charlene is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Collins III; Son, Michael A. Collins; sisters, Ruth (late, Rev. Willie) Frazier, Cecil Landrum, and Mary (late, Thurmon) Ross.

Charlene dedicated 30 years of service to U.S. Steel, where she worked as a coil marker processor. She faithfully served as a treasurer of the Estella Smith Foundation and was proudly known as the "Bid Whisk Queen", among family and friends. Charlene was a truly compassionate and empathetic kind soul that extended her heart to family and friends.

Charlene had a private home going.

Charlene will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
