CHARLES W. MASCH JR. "BILLY" "CHUCK"

age 57, of Griffith, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015. Charles is survived by his daughter Dallas Jade (fiancé Jerry Teal) Masch, with granddaughter Marley Sky Teal due in October; sisters Shirley (David) Gutierrez, Rosemary Masch and Betty Masch; nephews Victor Masch and Samuel Ceja; great nephew Peyton. Charles is also survived by his fiancé Cheryl Collinsworth and her family: parents Jim and Phyllis Gouwens; daughters Jessica Ann (fiancé Ivan Garcia) Collinsworth and Jennifer Lyn Collinsworth; granddaughter Ava Julianna Garcia; sisters Carolyn (Jay) Triemstra and Janet Van Deraa; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Charles W. and Cirpriana Masch, brother Robert Masch.

Charles was originally from San Antonio and proud of his Texas roots but moved to the East Chicago Harbor as a teenager. He was trained and worked as a carpenter and also recently in metal fabrication. Chuck was Harley guy who loved to ride, was a "Bad to the Bone" pool player, enjoyed dancing and was an avid fisherman. He cherished his trips to Sarasota, FL and loved to be at the beach. Above all, Charles was a wonderful and caring father and grandfather who was ecstatically looking forward to meeting his newest grandbaby. He will be truly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville with Pastor John Hill officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 12:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.
