Christine "Teenie" Ferrini
Age 52
Hammond, IN
It is with heavy heart that the Husband and Family of Christine "Teenie" Ferrini announce the news of her sudden passing on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
This soul-crushing event can only be countered with fierce testament to a life so deeply and passionately lived.
Christine, affectionately known as Tina in her early life, was born on March 31, 1972 to parents George and Helen Sudicky (deceased) in Hammond, IN. A free spirit like her mother, she loved being an Aunt and Godmother. One of six children, Tina attended St. John Bosco, graduated from Gavit High School in 1990 and Creative Hairstyling Academy shortly thereafter. Her many talents and lust for life, music, art and adventure took her to Chicago where she experienced the big city life and all it had to offer. While working as a valuable "girl Friday" to an owner of an international real estate investment firm, a weekend visit home to see friends and family led to a serendipitous stop-in at Kenwood Tap to partake in karaoke. A natural and unabashed entertainer, Teenie dove into numerous songs that evening, adding vitality to the scene. However, it was her beauty, infectious smile and effervescent personality that captured the attention of self-avowed bachelor Tony Ferrini. A brief introduction and literally two hours later the team of T-n-T was created. The cosmopolitan girl and the wild game hunter had found their life partners. A true love story if there ever was one! The two were married October 18, 2008 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church on Opening Day Duck Hunting Season (a feat only Teenie could have pulled off!!) The two settled in Hammond in a home filled with love, artwork, hundreds of pictures, and of course, their beautiful dogs Hank, Lewey and the late Rocco. Teenie's creative flair is pronounced in every aspect of the home. Lovers of adventure, Teenie and Tony enjoyed countless hours at live music events, riding their Harley, fishing, hunting and hanging out with great friends and family. Teenie's fun, spontaneous, kind, vivacious and colorful personality also attracted scores of strangers into their sphere with many becoming instant friends.
Though Christine's passing has left a lasting hole in many lives, her passing can also point out to each of us the fragility of life and our relationships. Without a doubt, she would like everyone to pause, take a look at our individual lives, cherish all we have and consider how to make it better, stronger, more meaningful and, of course, more colorful.
Christine is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Anthony; dear brother and sisters: Gregory (Jennifer) Sudicky, Nicole (Kevin) Eagan, Mary Sudicky, Julia Sweeney; brother-in-law, James Sweeney; sister-in-law, Catherine Lenderman, sister-in-law, Patty Sudicky, beloved nieces and nephews: Toni Marie (Laura), Emily (Jerrett), Margaret, Nathan (Sarah), Garrett (Kayla), Paige (Brett), Ryn, Nicholas, Sage, Sierra, Sedona, and precious pets, Hank and Lewey. Preceded in death by her parents: George and Helen Sudicky; brother, Mark Sudicky; and in-laws, Raymond and Delores Ferrini.
