Claude E. Jackson

age 66, of Highland, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017. Claude is survived by his siblings: Bill (Mimi) Jackson, Thomas (late Melanie) Jackson, Peggy (Stan) Lowder, Mary (Pete) Jenkinson, Dave (Mary) Jackson and Millie Jackson; 12 nieces and nephews, 5 great nieces and nephews, great great niece Trinity, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his wife Linda, parents Claude and Dorothy and sister-in-law Nora Giers.

Claude was a lifetime area resident and a 1969 graduate of Highland High School. Claude was a Journeyman Sheet Metal Man at Ford Motor Co. where he retired in 2008. He enjoyed riding his Harley and was involved in many charity bike rides over the years. To say Claude was an avid bowler would be an understatement. He had numerous 300 games, was a sanctioned coach in Highland for 15 years and was inducted into the Greater Calumet Area Bowling Hall of Fame in December 2013. Claude also brought joy to countless children and adults alike by playing Santa Claus for many, many years.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville, IN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Claude will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Schererville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Miracle Ride Foundation.  Early next year, a special on-line fundraiser in Claude's honor will be planned by the family for the 25th annual Miracle Ride on June 2-3, 2018
