Daniel White

age 85, of Dyer, IN. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Daniel is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Josephine A. White (nee Nicoletti); his loving children, Stacy (Ted) Zembala and April (Armando) Mendez; and his precious grandchildren, Michael (Tia) Zembala and Nathan Zembala. He is also remembered fondly by several dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Adam White and Ann White; brothers, Adam R. White (late, Vivian) and Joseph White (still living, Arlene).

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Daniel graduated from New Castle High School before building a successful career and retiring from Superior Engineering in Hammond, Indiana. He had a lifelong passion for classic cars, fishing, and time spent at Kentucky Lake. He especially cherished vacations with his family, as well as working "under the hood" with his grandson. His strength, perseverance, and kindness touched all who knew him and will remain his lasting legacy.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 directly at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3025 Highway Ave., Highland, IN 46322 with Rev. Brian Chadwick officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial to follow at St. John/St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northwest Cancer Center and would be greatly appreciated.

Daniel's life was a gift to all who knew him, and his memory will live on through the love of his family and friends.
