David Ray Blue

Age 59, of Hammond, Indiana passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Marianne (nee Edwards); son, Steve Blue of Hammond; sister, Linda Sue Blue of Winfield; and niece, Taylor Anne Blue of Griffith.  David is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Louis and Betty Jo (nee Woods) Blue.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN 46375 (corner of Main and Kennedy). Friends may visit with the family on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00 PM till 8:00PM.

David was a 1975 graduate of Hammond Technical Vocational High School. He was employed by Southern Electric Coil in Hammond. He worked there for 41 years, and ended his career as Chief Engineer. David was a collector of scale model trains, he enjoyed building models and radio controlled vehicles. He was an avid National Drag Racing Fan.
