Dawn M. Textor (nee Lewis)

age 55, of Hammond, IN passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Dawn is survived by her sons: Timmy (Ashley) Spisak and Joey Spisak; siblings, Thomas Wright and Elizabeth Biffy-Lewis; precious grandchildren, Charlotte and Alek; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, Eric A. Lewis and Nancy Stephenson.

Dawn was a 1986 graduate of Morton High School. Her life was a testament to selflessness, as she dedicated herself to helping others and providing support to those in need. Her compassionate nature made her a cherished friend and confidante, always ready with a comforting shoulder to lean on.

Dawn's love for music, which was most certainly inherited from her father, was a cherished part of her life. She found joy in the melodies of Pink Floyd, with "Dogs" holding a special place in her heart. Whether she was enjoying the company of friends or spending time with her "adopted" families, Dawn's love for others was constantly shown and she will always be remembered as loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Friends may visit with the family of both Dawn and her father Eric from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 7109 Calumet Ave., HAMMOND, IN. A Service Celebrating Both Dawn and Eric's Life will be held at 1:00 PM. Services for Dawn will conclude at the funeral home. Burial for Eric will follow to Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. In lieu of donations, flowers and/or plants would be appreciated.
