age 64, of Hammond, IN, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sherry (nee Jones); daughter, Kristen (Joe) Jenkins of Burns Harbor; father in law, Lester Jones; brother in laws, Danny (Shelley) Jones, and Roger (Andrea) Jones; sister in law, Sue Jones; many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews; special niece, Debbie Biron. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Tokash; two sisters; mother in law, Alice Jones; and two brother in laws, Lester and Michael Jones.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 7:30 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave. (corner of Main and Kennedy), Schererville, IN 46375 with Pastor Phillip Humber officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00 PM till 7:00 PM. A private burial will take place at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville, IN.

Dennis was a 1970 graduate of Hammond Tech. He was a member of Teamsters Local #142, and retired after 30 years of service from Withams. Dennis loved trains, and was an avid collector of them. He enjoyed playing penny slots at the Casinos. He always wanted everyone to dress casual for his visitation at the funeral home, and his family ask all men to wear "T-shirts" in honor of Dennis. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
