Desiree Hardee of Hammond IN, passed away at home on Sunday, January 15, 2023. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert "Bob" Hardee, daughters, Holly Hardee and Rachel (Scotty)Peterson; grandchildren, Adam Garvey and Aoife and Joshua Rodriguez; mother, Ruth Lanoue; sisters, Annette (Pete)Boudreau of Kankakee and Adrienne (Ben)West of Bourbonnais and several loving nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her father Richard, father-in-law Robert Hardee; nephew, Lucas West and niece Kelly Hardee.

Desiree loved spending her time card making and crafting.  She was a wonderful cook and an exceptional baker.  Born and raised in Kankakee, she was a dedicated worker. Working as both a bartender and waitress. The queen of one liners, she was a straight shooter but was always forgiving and never passed judgement on anyone. Desiree was the best wife and mother and will be greatly missed.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN. A Celebration of Desiree's Life will be held at 6:00 PM with Pastor Andy Gomez officiating. Services conclude at the funeral home. Solanpruzinfuneralhome.com
