Age 57 passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019. Donald is survived by his sons, Ryan, Nicholas and Adam Kammer all of Kansas; granddaughter, Gracie; sister, Mary Schafer of Highland; brother, Keith Kammer of California; and four stepsisters;  his Goddaughter, Shannon "Shaylyn Princess Baby" of Highland; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Linda Talbert and her family of Crown Point; and best buddy, Brinkley Boy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman J. Kammer and Barbara DeMoss; brothers, Norman E. Kammer and Robert DeMoss; and stepfather, Russell DeMoss.

Donald was a 1979 graduate of Highland High School. He was a Sergeant in US Marine Corp and served 12 years. He loved fishing and playing darts. He was a die-hard Chicago Bears and Cubs Fan. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN 46375 (corner of Main and Kennedy) from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Donald will be laid to rest with honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois at a later date. He will be greatly missed.
