Donna L. Wells

Donna Wells, age 90, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Belinda (Greg) Britton; son, Darwin (Denise) Wells; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 1 sister. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, James Wells; daughter, Rita (late, Jimmy) Weaver; son, Donald Wells; and brother, Gaithel Allen Barger.

Donna was truly a people person who found great joy in conversation and cherished every moment spent with her family and friends. She retired from Plaza Lanes in Highland, where she formed many lasting friendships over the years.

In her free time, Donna enjoyed gardening, crocheting countless beautiful blankets, and planning memorable holiday gatherings for her loved ones. She also took great pride in pickling and canning, and found relaxation in working on puzzles.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.

Donna will be missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
