Dorothy A. Hill-Warner (nee Johnson) Age 94 of Dyer, IN, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023. Dorothy is survived by her children Patricia Hill, Michael ( Irene ) Hill, Karen ( Ernie ) Labas and Diane Webster; precious grandchildren: Jason ( Esther ) Hill, Nicholas ( Jenny ) Labas, Shannon Polny ( special friend, Chris Jackson), Stephen ( Danielle) Webster, Scott ( Amy) Webster, Benjamin ( Lindsay) Labas, Samuel ( Kristina ) Webster and Corey ( Derrick Weitlich ) Hill; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley ( late, Joe ) Dixon and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her first husband, Richard James Hill; second husband, Justin Warner; parents, Edward and Mary Johnson; and siblings, Edna Mae (Bud ) Bloom, Robert ( Peggy ) Johnson and dearest friend Catherine Bollhorst.

Dorothy was a 1947 graduate of Bishop Noll Institute and retired after 20 years as a teacher with Woodmar Child Development Center. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and jigsaw puzzles. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Dorothy loved all things green and was very proud of her Irish heritage.
