Dorothy J. Chumbley "Jeanne"

age 60, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017.The family flower child, Jeanne is preceded in death by her siblings Thomas Chumbley and Thelma Chumbley. She is survived by her son Eric Shumaker; granddaughter Jacie Shumaker; siblings: Richard Chumbley, Kathleen Chumbley and Patricia Chumbley; nieces Holly Chumbley and Kristine Crane; nephews Michael, Daniel and Ricky Chumbley. Also survived by her three kitty cats: Shade, Tigger and Oreo a.k.a. "Little Buddy".

Jeanne was a free spirit who cherished the time spent with her loving family and always lent a hand with whatever she could. She had a wicked sense of humor, was a little crazy, never took any shit and loved to watch movies; especially 'Pitch Perfect' or anything Harry Potter which were practically on a loop.

Friends may gather to celebrate Jeanne on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 7109 Calumet Ave Hammond, IN. Memories, thoughts and prayers will be shared at 1:30 PM.
