Edward (Ed) J. Skrundz

of Schererville, formerly of East Chicago, IN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the age of 65. He was born on March 9, 1961, to the late Joseph and Benedicta (nee Rockley) Skrundz.

Ed, who will be deeply missed, was a loving brother to John (Connie) Skrundz and Mary Anne Levander. He is also survived by his nieces, Crystal (Bob) Wray, Tina Skrundz, Regina Levander, and Laura Levander; and his nephew John (Sheryl) Skrundz Jr. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Joseph and Benedicta Skrundz; and his sister Benetta Skrundz.

Ed, a 1979 graduate of Roosevelt High School in East Chicago, went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Purdue University. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures- baking, cooking, bird watching, and long drives- and was known for his easygoing and appreciation for the little things. Ed will be remembered for his quiet warmth and the comfort he brought to those around him.
