Edward W. Wojcik, Sr.

Age 82, of St. John, formerly of East Chicago, IN, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 23, 2022. Edward is survived by his children: Lisa (late Kevin) McGing, Laura (James) Pardonek, and Edward Wojcik, Jr. (Nancy); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Nadolski; brother, Walter (Barbara) Wojcik; sister-in-law, Sue Wojcik; many nieces and nephews; and loving companion of 20 years, Jackie Wylie. Preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 34 years, Patricia Wojcik; precious granddaughter, Melissa McGing; and brother John Wojcik.

Edward retired from Inland Steel after 30 years of services. He was an avid bowler and pool player and was known to be a "jack of all trades". Above all else, Edward lived for his family. He loved and adored them dearly and he will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM, on Saturday, October 29, DIRECTLY AT St. John the Evangelist Church Day Chapel, corner of US 41 & 93rd, St. John, IN. Edward will lie in state from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
