EDWARD L. WRONA
age 88, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Edward is survived by his children Daniel (Nancy) Wrona and Cynthia (Michael) Bodnar; grandchildren: Jessica (Adam) Spaulding, Tim Bodnar, Alex (Mindy) Bodnar and Ryan Cyr; four great grandchildren; sisters Irene (late Virgil) Wagner and Janet (late Jerry) Fairchild; brother in law Phillip (Ann) Buck; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years Evelyn and sister in law Kathryn (late John) Brandush.
Edward was a lifelong area resident and member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Edward was a big fan of Chicago sports, Indiana University Basketball and enjoyed working in his garden. He was an avid woodworker and carver and displayed his work at many local schools and libraries.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville with Dc. Raymond Helfen officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of service. Edward will be laid to rest at St. John St. Joseph Cemetery Hammond.
