Edward F. Zarndt "Papa"

Age 74, of Griffith, IN passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2016. He is survived by his loving children David (Carol) Zarndt of Griffith, Patrick Zarndt of Schererville, Elizabeth Zarndt of Griffith, Daniel (Theresa) Zarndt of Griffith, Kelley (Daniel) Mills of Griffith; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Carl (Jan) Zarndt of NV, Paula (Wally) Zwyjac of NV, and Lennard (Donna) Zarndt of NV; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Edward is preceded in death by his wife, Claudia; daughter, Shannon; and sister, Elsie (late Clarence) Morton.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at St. James Catholic Church, 9640 Kennedy Ave., Highland, IN, 46322 with Rev. Keith Virus officiating. Edward will lie in state at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service and will be laid to rest after service at Ridge Lawn Cemetery in Gary, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN 46375 (corner of Main and Kennedy) from 2:00 PM till 8:00 PM.

Edward was a 1959 graduate of Griffith High School, and was a big Panther Fan. He retired from US Steel, and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #8080. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. James Church would be appreciated.
