Eileen Bacan (nee Jutkus)

Age 85, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017.  She is survived by her loving children, Jeri Lynn (John) Sherby of Highland and Daniel (Helene) Banina of Peru, Indiana; grandchildren, Jay (Lauren) Sherby and Sam, Lauren, Hannah Banina.  She is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Jerome A. Banina, and Milan E. Bacan; 2 sisters and 1 brother.

A Funeral Mass will be held 12 noon, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 525 N. Broad St., Griffith, IN with Rev. Theodore J. Mens officiating.  Eileen will lie in state at the church from 11:30 AM till time of service, and will be laid to rest directly after at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville, IN. Eileen graduated from East Chicago Washington High School in 1949.  She was a bookkeeper for several years for Big Wheel Restaurant and Highland Lumber.
