Elisa Castillo (nee Fuentes)

Age 88, of East Chicago, IN, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 7, 2018.  Elisa is survived by her loving children, Aida (Ricardo) Palomo, Rosa (Marco) Meza, Elsa (Alexander) Perez, Laura (Juan-Estefan) Vitela, Gerardo (Violet) Castillo, Enrique (Jennifer) Castillo; grandchildren, Elisa, Ricardo, Christina, Ruben, Michelle, Nicole, Alex Jr., Gerardo Jr., Enrique Jr., Alyssa and Marisa; 20 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Felipe D. Castillo.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN 46375 (corner of Main St. and Kennedy Ave.) A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jose Burgos officiating.  Internment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville, IN.

Elisa was born in Texas. She was a longtime resident of East Chicago where she met her husband Felipe.  Elisa loved sewing, gardening and her flowers.  She was a great cook and enjoyed her music.  Elisa was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be remembered for her kindness and loving spirit by everyone who knew her.
