Eric A. Lewis

age 72, of Hammond, IN passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. Eric is survived by his children: Dawn Lewis-Wright, Thomas Wright, and Elizabeth Biffy-Lewis; precious grandchildren: Timmy (Ashley) Spisak, Joey Spisak, and Stephen (Lauren) Wright; great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Alek, Ryker, and Rowen; siblings: Victor Ritchie, Gregory Lewis, Daniel Lewis, Paul Lewis, Andrea Lewis, Patrick Lewis, Andrew Lewis, and David Lewis; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Violet Lewis; and Christopher Ritchie.

Eric was a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute and went on to receive his bachelor's degree in music from DePaul University. He had a passion for playing the drums and started when he was 5 years old. He was dedicated to music and some of his most favorite memories were those times spent playing in bands.

Beyond the drum set, Eric found immense happiness in the company of his family and grandkids. May his rhythmic spirit and cherished memories live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his music and warmth.

Friends may visit with the family of both Eric and his daughter Dawn from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 7109 Calumet Ave., HAMMOND, IN. A Service Celebrating Both Eric and Dawn's Life will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial for Eric will follow to Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. Services for Dawn will conclude at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, plants would be appreciated.
