EVELYN E. STEMP

age 93, of Hammond, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Evelyn is survived by her daughters Louise (Andrew) Mansfield and Laura (William) Marshall; granddaughter Jennifer (Shane); grandson Matthew; great grandsons Eamon and John; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Edward, her parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Evelyn was a longtime member of St. John Bosco Parish and retired from Lever Brothers after 24 years of service. She absolutely loved to play Scrabble, enjoyed crochet, playing pinochle and solitaire. Evelyn was an avid reader and liked to solve cryptograms. She was a good friend to many and will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 beginning with 9:30 AM prayers at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 7109 Calumet Ave Hammond for a 10:00 AM Mass at St. John Bosco Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Orlinski officiating. At rest Chapel Lawn Cemetery Schererville. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 1:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home.
