Finbarr O. Jones, age 82, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026.

Finbarr carried with him a deep appreciation for family, tradition, and the simple joys of life.

Born in Castle Town Geoghegan, County Westmeath, Ireland, Finbarr carried with him a deep appreciation for family, tradition, and the simple joys of life. He dedicated more than 30 years of his working life to Service Web Offset as a printer pressman. Prior to that, he worked for the Illinois Central Railroad.

Finbarr was a devoted family man and will be lovingly remembered by his children, Barry (Janet) Jones, Jennifer (Mike) Quiroz, and Brendan Jones; his five grandchildren, Michael, Grace, Nicholas, Taran, and Abigail; and his sisters, Muriel Marin and Evelyn Brennan.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Joyce Jones, and by his siblings Nicholas, Finian, Mervyn, Dolores, Gregory, Loretto, Padraig, Terry, and Jarlath.

An avid golfer, Finbarr found great enjoyment and fellowship on the golf course. His love of the game was one of the many passions that brought him happiness throughout his life.

Finbarr will be remembered for his love of family, his Irish roots, his hard work, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a family who will cherish his memory and carry his legacy forward.
