Gail E. "Gigi" Potchen (nee Martin)

age 80, of Dyer, IN, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022. Give praises, she has gone to her heavenly HOME. She is survived by her children: Susan (James) Gorman, Karen (David) Jahr, and Kenneth (Jennifer) Potchen; grandchildren: Alexander (fiancé Kristen Copp), Jacob, and Andrew Gorman, and Claire and Benjamin Potchen. Other survivors are her sister Carla Robinson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gail was born and raised in Hammond, her parents are Carl and Phyllis Martin, who preceded her in death. She married Edward J. Potchen on February 10, 1962, who preceded her in death in July, 1998. They were married for over 36 very happy years. Gail was a graduate of Hammond High School, class of 1960. After their marriage they lived in Hammond for 10 years, and then moved to Dyer, where Gail remained until her passing. She worked at several places and very much enjoyed her job as a realtor. Gail's greatest joy was raising her children. The light of her life has been her grandchildren, all she ever needed was to see their smiling faces, and get a hug and kiss from her angels. Gigi will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 12, 2022 DIRECTLY AT St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 1115 Cline Ave, Griffith, IN 46319 with Pastor Pamela Thiede officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. Services conclude at the church and entrusted with Solan Pruzin Funeral Home . Donations may be made to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church.
