GENEVIEVE ROBB nee DRESSLER

age 96, of Highland, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at her residence. Genevieve is survived by her son William (Lorraine); granddaughter Melissa (Chad) Borner; great grandsons Jake and Logan Borner; nephews Gerald, Kenneth and Ronald Dressler; numerous grandnephews and grandnieces. Preceded in death by her husband Robert, parents Stella and Stephen Dressler, sister Mary Iggins, brothers: Stanley, Joseph, Casimir, Chester Michael and twin brother Henry; nephews John Iggins and Robert F. Dressler, niece Barbara Wojciechowski.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 7:30 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville with Dc. Raymond Helfen officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Genevieve will be laid to rest on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Mount Greenwood Cemetery in Chicago.

Genevieve was born and resided in Chicago for 50 years. She was a nurse at South Shore Hospital in Chicago for many years. Afterwards she was employed at Standard Oil of Indiana. She retired from Amoco Oil in 1985 after 26 years of dedicated service, including her final years in the IT Division. Two years after retirement she moved to Harrison, AR and lived there with her brother Henry for ten years, until returning to Highland.

Genevieve always enjoyed working outside with plants and flowers. She was an excellent cook and was always interested in trying new recipes. She enjoyed being with her granddaughter and great grandsons. The family would like to thank her dedicated caregiver Zofia Oszczapinska and Hospice of the Calumet Area for the excellent care they gave Genevieve.
