Age 61 passed away suddenly on Friday, May 10, 2019. George is survived by his dear love, Kathy Smith; loving daughter, Tonya (Russell) Dukes; grandchildren, Kyle, Neal, Amy and Jacob; dear mother, Geraldine Roskus; mother of his children, Barbara Kopitke; brothers, Kenneth (Vicki Bergquist) Kopitke and John Martin; nephew, Keith Kopitke; niece, Lauren Koptke; and other dear nieces and nephews; many dear friends, especially, Bob Rosol and Family; and special uncle, William A. (still living, Kathy) Roskus.

A Funeral Service Celebrating George's Life will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) in Schererville, IN with Fr. Mark Pavlina officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the funeral home from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

George graduated from Tilden High School in Chicago. He worked for Continental Freezers and for over 12 years for the CTA. He enjoyed doing Marshal Arts, playing chess, riding the Seadog at Navy Pier in Chicago and going to the Horseshoe and Majestic Casinos. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
