George G. Michel

Age 71, of Lansing, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. He is survived by his mother, Helen Michel; sister, Helen Menard; brother, John (Deanne) Michel; niece and nephews: Samuel Michel, Sarah (Phillip) Hines, and Lucas Michel; and great-niece and great-nephew, Hazel and August Hines. Preceded in death by his father, George Michel.

George was a 1971 graduate of Highland High School. He received his bachelor's degree in political science from Ball State University. He was a trooper with the Illinois State Police for 26 and a half years and retired with the title of Master Sergeant. George enjoyed playing sports and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. Parastas at 7:00 PM with Fr. Steven Koplinka officiating. Services conclude at the funeral home. Burial private.
